- The phases of the moon occur based on the position of the sun and how much of the light is being reflected onto the moon and the location based on its position 

2. What causes the seasons? 

- The seasons are caused by the position of the earth orbiting around the sun 

3. What causes a lunar eclipse? 

- When you can't see the moon because the earth's shadow is covering it based on the locations of the sun, moon, and the earth in their orbits
